Collection: YVES SAINT LAURENT
Saint Laurent is a French luxury brand founded by Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent.
Born in 1936 in Oran, Algeria, he grew up in a wealthy family and studied at the Paris Haute Couture Syndicate school. At 17, he won a design competition by the International Wool Secretariat, leading to his joining Christian Dior in 1954.
After Dior's death in 1957, he became the head designer at 21 and introduced the "Trapeze Line," which was well-received. However, his later collections faced criticism, and he was dismissed from Dior after being drafted into the Algerian War. In 1961, he founded his own haute couture house, Yves Saint Laurent, with Pierre Bergé and Mack Robinson, which quickly gained acclaim.
